This historic Spanish tower is perched on top of a cliff overlooking the sea. Set in the natural beauty of the Maremma Natural Park, it was originally built to protect against Saracen invasions. This beautifully restored tower is now is a luxurious and very private vacation home. Just below the tower there is a pool On the hillside next to the tower there is a spacious patio area with a covered pergola. With a barbeque, table and chairs, and lounge chairs, this is an ideal spot for dining al fresco and relaxing while enjoying the magnificent views. There is a private trail down to the sea from the property. The property is on private, gated grounds and final access to the property is via a private gravel road.

Shop restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, post office, etc. are conveniently located in Fonteblanda, which is about 5 kms away. There are tennis courts about 5 kms from the property and golf courses are located in Pelagone (about 50 kms) and Punta Ala (about 65 kms).
This unique property is on two main levels plus the tower, which is on multiple levels. There are steps up and down to various levels in the house/tower. On the ground floor, there is an entrance, dining area with a fireplace, and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen. There are three bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, on the ground floor. One of the ground floor bedrooms has a queen bed and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower. The other bedrooms have two twin beds, which can be made together on request. One has an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and the other has a bathroom with a shower adjacent. On the lower level of the tower there is a queen bed, fireplace and window overlooking the sea. Wooden stairs lead up to a sitting area that has a sofa and a small bathroom with a shower. From this level, a spiral staircase leads up to a small rooftop terrace, which has spectacular 360 degree views.
From the ground floor, stairs lead up to a spacious living/dining room that opens to a large terrace. The living area is furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs and the dining area has a large antique wooden table. Next to the dining area there is a small kitchenette. This main room has a fireplace and air-conditioning. This living/dining room has large windows to take advantage of the views and doors that open to the terrace. With spectacular views from both sides, the terrace has lounge chairs and a table for dining al fresco. From one side, there is a view of Porto S. Stefano and the hills of Mount Argentario. From the other side of the terrace there is a view of Talamone and the hills of the Uccellina Natural Park. Guests can also admire spectacular views of Giannutri, Giglio and Montecristo islands from the terrace. The castle is equipped with satellite television, telephone and internet connection. Cruises along the Maremma coastline on a 36-foot motorboat can be arranged. Guided tours to historically important wineries in the area can be organized as well.

The weekly rate includes: change of linens once a week, housekeeping (one staff member for 4 hours 6 days/week), pool, garden maintenance three times a week, water, electricity; bed linens, towels and pool towels are changed once midweek. The rate is based on 8 people occupancy.
